A NEW LIFE FOR THE RENOWNED CASTLE OF GESUALDO:THE MUNICIPALITY ENTRUSTS MANAGEMENT TO IRPINIA ESCAPES

From 1 September 12025, the Municipality of Gesualdo has officially entrusted the management of the Castle of Gesualdo, one of the most fascinating monumental complexes in Southern Italy, to Irpinia Escapes, a young Australian company committed to the cultural and touristic development of inland Campania.

The signing of the agreement marks the beginning of an ambitious cultural, touristic, and economic revitalisation project aimed at transforming the manor, and historic residence of Prince Carlo Gesualdo, into a nationally and internationally renowned attraction.

Domenico Forgione, Mayor of Gesualdo, said: “Today we inaugurate a new chapter for the Castle of Gesualdo. Institutional commitment and love for our community and our history have led us to relaunch this extraordinary site with the goal of opening it more and more to the world. The decision to entrust management to Irpinia Escapes stems from the desire to ensure dynamic, competent leadership strongly rooted in the territory. We are convinced that this synergy will bring value to all of Irpinia, transforming the castle into a point of reference for culture, hospitality, and innovation.”
